Awareness in Halal and Food Safety (GMP)


This programme is designed for those who serve in food preparation, handling and services.  Participants will gain knowledge in legislation covering food safety and halal awareness to understand the risks involved and how to minimise these risks. 

Our food safetyand halal programme will help you to prevent food contamination and poisoning, protecting both the public and your reputation.  At the end of the programme, participants will receive a recognition certificate by Ministry of Health Malaysia, anticipating significant social and economic impact on each individuals as well as the employers.

Objectives: 

  • Enables participants to understand and incease the level of awareness and knowledge on principles of Food Safety and Halal

  • Enables participants to understand the importance of food safety and halal knowledge in maintaining good image of the industry in Malaysia and the international halal market

  • For employers to motivate employees through education in the applicable principles of food safety and halal to encourage them to perform their tasks in accordance with established food safety and halal procedures and expectations in the workplace

Target Audience:

All food handlers, including in F&B and hospitality industries such as food manufacturers, pharmaceutical, restaurants, hotels, catering, cafeteria, supermarkets, bazaars, online sales and others.

  • Module 1: Introduction to Halal & Food Safety in the Food Industry

  • Module 2:  Basic of Halal & Haram in Islam

  • Module 3:  Halal Ingredients

  • Module 4:  Malaysian Halal Certification

  • Module 5:  Process of Halal Certification

  • Module 6:  Introduction to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

  • Module 7:  Food Safety Elements

  • Module 8:  GMP Certifications in Malaysia
